Green tea for good body

  doc.

Tea which usually grows in mountain range area has been famous as healthy drink; it has many benefits for our bodies. Many people believe that drinking tea has benefit not only to cure the illness but also to brace body’s immunity system.
On the other hand, tea also useful to make our appearance more beautiful. Fat women usually like to drink green tea, because green tea can make their bodies slimmer. Drinking green tea everyday can make our body slimmer. The more regular they drink that tea, the slimmer their bodies.
We can take the example from the chine’s women, they have their beautiful skin and body, and it’s because of their habit of drinking green tea. They can consume it every day; in other they can find much green tea in their country.
Actually, the most important thing for woman is physical appearance which has to be kept. Because the best they can keep their body the best they get. But for getting the good body not only from consuming the green tea, but we also can go in for sport every day. Beside of the good body, every woman must have good attitude, because good body without good attitude are nothing.

Attendance Problem

Did you guys read Gandar's cool poem? When Blood Scattered for Attendance, a very strong knight can't marry the beloved princess ONLY because a single flag. Even when he risks his life to save the princess from the big, strong, scary, and mighty dragon. I know it's just a story, but it can be compared with my university life. Can't join the final examination ONLY because a problem: Attendance.

Well, story from my university. There is a rule says that we should have rate of Attendace not less than 75%, if not, we can't join the final examination. I think this is not an effective way to make college students to be more diligent, because, we are more likely forced to always attend classes. And some Lecturers don't accept        note other than doctor's note and formal note from university or faculty for their agenda (like OMT). How about when we have family event? Like in Gandar's poem? Or when we just got ill for a day just because headache or stomachache and we don't have to go to the doctor? How's that? Do we have to miss our final examination because of family event? Do we have to miss our final examination because we don't go to the doctor when we only got ill for a day? Sounds unfair, i think.

The point is, i disagree with this attendance regulation. It makes students get another burden, we have assignment, quiz, incoming examination, plus, the attendance. But every people have different opinion. Maybe you agree with the attendance regulation, or maybe you are with me. You have additional opinion or disagreement. You can comment on this post.

Best regards,

Malaysia; Similarities and Differences in Islamic Law

Malaysia is a federal constitutional monarchy in Southeast Asia. It consists of thirteen states and three federal territories and has a total landmass of 329,847 square kilometers (127,350 sq mi) separated by the South China Sea into two similarly sized regions, Peninsular Malaysia and Malaysian Borneo. Land borders are shared with Thailand, Indonesia and Brunei, and maritime borders exist with Singapore, Vietnam, and the Philippines. The capital city is Kuala Lumpur, while Putrajaya is the seat of the federal government. In 2010, the population exceeded 27.5 million, with over 20 million living on the Peninsula.

Malaysia has its origins in the Malay Kingdoms present in the area which, from the 18th century, became subject to the British Empire. The first British territories were known as the Straits Settlements, in which the establishment was followed by the Malay kingdoms becoming British protectorates. The territories on Peninsular Malaysia were first unified as the Malayan Union in 1946. Malaya was restructure to become the Federation of Malaya in 1948, and achieved independence on 31 August 1957. Malaya united with Sabah, Sarawak, and Singapore on 16 September 1963, with is being added to name the new country as Malaysia. Less than two years later in 1965, Singapore was expelled from the federation. Since its independence, Malaysia has had one of the best economic records in Asia, with GDP growing an average 6.5% for almost 50 years. The economy has traditionally been fueled by its natural resources, but is expanding in the sectors of science, tourism, commerce and medical tourism.

The country is multi-ethnic and multi-culture, which plays a large role in politics. The government system is closely modeled on the Westminster parliamentary system and the legal system is based on English Common Law. The constitution declares Islam the state religion while protecting freedom of religion. The head of state is the King, known as the Yang di-Pertuan Agong. He is a  monarch elected from the hereditary rulers of the nine Malay states every five years. The head of government is the Prime Minister.
Malaysia contains the southernmost point of continental Eurasia, Tanjung Piai. Located in the tropics, it is a megadiverse country, with large numbers of endemic flora and fauna. It is a founding member of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, and a member of Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation, the Commonwealth of Nations, and the Non-Aligned Movement.

In Malaysia, Islam is highly viscous. Since the early period of independence, it had already been deliberated that one day, the autochthon (Malayan) and Muslim could be controlled by the non-autochthon and non-muslimn (as happens in Singapore), that was why they made statutes to protect autochthon and muslims in Malaysia.
  1. Yang di-Pertuan Agong (King of Malaysia) must be a Malayan ( most of the Malayan are muslims)
  2.  Prime Minister of Malaysia must be a Malayan
  3. The Sultan in each state to control the stability of Islamic law
  4. Islam is the official religion  (other religion is permited)
  5. Malay is the official language of Malaysia, English is the second language

Malaysia is a country that is still highly viscous with authoritarian, because obviously, Malaysia is a federal constitutional monarchy. Each state regulates matters related to Islamic practice life in Malaysia. The aim of state in Malaysia is to control and protect Islam.

Essentially, Malaysia adopts British Law (that in fact invaded Malaysia) and Islamic Law, but practically, Malaysia applies various Islamic values. Statutes must be based on Al-Qur’an, hadits, Ijma, Qiyas, and governmental system of kingdom in which the king become the leader.

Malaysia not fully adopts Islamic Law as their law. Malaysia also adopts British Law. Malaysia use Common Law System. It is law developed by judges through decisions (legal opinion) of courts and similar tribunals, as opposed to statutes adopted through the legislative process or regulations issued by the executive branch.

On the other hand, Sharia courts traditionally do not rely on lawyers; plaintiffs and defendants represent themselves. Trials are conducted solely by the judge, and there is no jury system. There is no pre-trial discovery process, and no cross-examination of witnesses. Unlike common law, judges verdicts do not set binding precedents under the principle of stare decision. Common law courts tend to use an adversarial system, in which two sides present their cases to a neutral judge.

Even though Malaysia considered as Muslim Country, that states Islam as the official religion, but the matter of fact, Malaysia is a plurality country that the important minority group are non-Muslim.

Malaysia is a federal monarchy that has thirteen states. As seen from the historical aspect, the appearance of Islam in Malaysian islamization process through trading route from the Arab and the Gujarat trader.

The Islamic role in Malaysian politic can be seen on missionary movements or islamic Perties such as PAS, ABIM, and Darul Arqam which basically wants the implementation of Islamic law, where the leaders of these movements give many impacts on the Malaysian government. Furthermore, Prime Minister Mahatir Muhammad place UMNO/government oriented on islam.

Basically,  Islamic Law in practice in Malaysia not fully stand to all of the citizen of Malaysia. It is because of three factors:
                     1.         There is religious pluralism.
                     2.         Influences of colonialism.
                     3.         The influences of secularism and globalization.

Even though some problems are already regulated in Malaysian Islamic law, but British Law is still adopted in most of legislations and jurisprudences. Law Statute on Civil Law states that if there is no written law in Malaysia, then Civil Court has to follow British customary rule or another proper law. By that system, the existence of Islamic law is only applied in certain limited scope related to family and religious violation. Civil court still has jurisprudence in family law, such as case related to ownership, inheritance and also raise of child. The civil judiciary will be appraised if there is clash between Islamic Law with civil law.

By viewing the reality above, Islamic Law is still not fully applied to all citizens of Malaysia thank to the influence of British colonialism that ever colonized Malaysia.

It seems that Islamic Law in Malaysia still needs further scrutiny and supporting legislation to implement Islamic Law in Malaysia effectively.

Hope this post will add your knowledge guys.
XOXO,
Lintang

Using Augmented Reality Glasses for Learning

When we heard of augmented reality glasses technology, many people think to use it as one of the very interesting entertainment, but lately a lot of scientists who are seeking to improve system capabilities AR (Augmented Reality) is to be one of the technologies that support the students to learn. Many things benefit in the use of AR technology into teaching materials for teachers and lecturers. Some of them are, students can interact directly with the AI (Artificial Intelligence) to enable the student can ask directly through AI and obtain information from reliable sources such as Google, Wikipedia, and others. There are also benefits such as, students can have books that can appear in front of him that called pop-up books, so, there will be many students feel more comforted and happy learning activities using AR technology.

When Blood is Scattered for Attendance

Wait ..
This is a post about how does it feel to chasing the attendance.
Attendance?
Chasing?
Yes.

75% Attendance, you killing me slowly.
I can't join the final exam without you.
Please, be nice with me.

Join the class is fun!
But imagine,
What if we come to the class without compulsion.
It will be nice right?

Sometimes we feel to tired to come to the class,
But we must come to the class, just for the attendance,
and the subject is not important anymore.
I know i'm not the only one.

We can get leave the class if we sick or have the doctor's note.
How about Family Event?
Does the Family's note is permitted?

I know..
It's to make us being more discipline,
respect our money that spend on,
and more respect the lecturer ( it could be ).
but,
does it just make us feel like a senior-high-school-student again?
come to the class just for the attendance.
and not focus in the class, because our goal have been reached.
yes, the goal is the ATTENDANCE.

TA ?
Sometimes we must do it.
for collect the attendance.
one point i get from the TA Theory.
"Be nice to your friends, so your friends would like to TA-ing for you."

Imagine,
There's a Strong Knight
Very-Very Strong.
Have an advanture to the Dragon-Caslte.
He save the princess.
Kill the dragon.

But one day..
The day have come..
He propose the princess..
and the princess say that he can't marry her.
Because he's not collect the flag of the Dragon-Castle.
Pathetic right?

His blood is scattered,
to save the princess ..
as the King wish ..
and you already know the ending ..

I believe,
There will be a better regulation in the Attendance.
it could be after I graduate.

Sincerely,
Your Lovely Knight
Gandar Mahojwala P

When Hospital Is Too Narcissistic

It's so sad when the last few days in several television stations spread that there was a child who failed to get the maximum health care because hospitals vital facilities used for commercial activities that not corelated with health and not corelated with hospital’s obligation. The event experienced by Ayu Tria, a child sufferers leukemia absolutely should not happen if the hospital act professionally. Ayu Tria should be referred to the ICU for further treatment, but the room is being used for shooting so disrupting medical treatment that should be accepted by ayu tria. The hospital said that the shooting is not disturb the medical treatment in the hospital but from the Ayu Tria’s family, Kurnianto and Roasih (Ayu Tria’s parent), said that the commercial activity disrupt the patient. Actually, ICU room and or common room like that must be isolated and sterile from any activities that doesn’t have corelated and interest with medical treatment for patient.

Based on act no.44 of 2009 article 2, hospital must organized professionally and with regard to the protection and safety of patients. in the case above it is obvious that the hospital is not professional and not able to protect the comfort of the patient. hospitals should put the interests of patients first rather than commercial interest because it is the primary task of the hospital. Actually there is no prohibition to hospital to be used as the set of shooting. Perhaps, this problem will be a lesson for us.

A Prayer for My Son - Gemi Thasa

A Prayer for My Son

Build me a son, o' Lord
Who will be strong enough to know when he is weak
And brave enough to face himself when he is afraid
One who will be proud and unbending in honest defeat
And humble and gentle in victory
Build me a son whose wishes will not take the place of deeds
A son who will know Thee -- and that to know himself is the foundation stone of knowledge
Lead him, I pray, not in the path of ease and comfort
But under the stress and spur of difficulties and challenges
Here let him learn to stand up in the storm
Here let him learn compassion for those who fail
Build me a son whose heart will be clear, whose goals will be high
A son who will master himself before he seeks to master other men
One who will reach into the future, yet never forget the past
And after all these things are his, give him, I pray, enough of a sense of humor

So that he may always be serious, yet never take himself too seriously
Give him humility
So that he may always remember the simplicity of true greatness
The open mind of true wisdom
And the meekness of true strenght
Then I, his father, will dare to whisper, "I have not lived in vain"

 -General Douglas McArthur

First time I heard this beautifully poetic written poem read was in my English class and I have fallen in love with it all of the sudden.
However, for me,  the last sentence should I say, "Then I, his mother"
